We are looking to extend our Tech team with a skilled and hard working Data Engineer!

Alrik is a startup with the mission to disrupt the construction industry. We recently raised a pre-seed of €3M+ from a top tier global VC along with a great network of angel investors.

We are a small and tight team working closely together with our customers and their problems as the guiding star. 

The role and what you will be doing

Being part of the Alrik Tech team puts you in the front seat to drive technical innovation and fostering a culture of fail fast, learn fast, improve fast.

You will work with Product, Investors, Finance and other techies to create new and smart products in short iterations. Your focus will be to create an analytics platform ready to support our business for all analytics activities and data driven decisions. You are comfortable working in an event driven architecture, to scrape websites, api endpoints and databases and organise data in structures ready for consumption. To be a senior engineer, fully hands-on writing code and giving guidance to more junior engineers what good looks like.

Architectural principles that we like: domain driven design, microservices, event driven, api, message queue, cloud.

A taste of our tech stack, that will evolve as we grow: BigQuery, Python, Looker, PostgreSQL, Go, GCP, Cloud Run, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.

Your skills and experience

• 7+ years working as a Data Engineer
• Excellent Team player
• Forward leaning and positive problem solver with focus on the solution
• You love unclear requirements and to jump into discussions to create your own spec
• Used to a fast paced environment with short iterations
• Experience from e-commerce and/or building api based SaaS offerings
• Relevant education is Computer science on university level, or similar
